Inclusive presentations
A unique course unavailable anywhere else
The vast majority of talks exclude neurodivergent people. Yours doesn’t have to. Being inclusive as a speaker isn’t about remembering to say the right thing, nor is it about being very serious – quite the opposite in fact. Neurodivergent people are some of the hardest to engage, so when you get it right, you’ll deliver an impactful presentation that people will remember for weeks, months – even years. You’ll smash it.
Suitable for: Professional speakers, those who present as part of their job, trainers
Particularly suitable for: Aspiring speakers, trainers who are committed to inclusion, neurodivergent speakers
Key outcome: Participants will develop and deliver an inclusive talk
Additional outcomes
- Understanding neurodiversity
- Improved communication
- Increased engagement with attendees/participants
- Improved facilitation skills
- Improved outcomes in discussions through increasing psychological safety
- Improved feedback as a speaker/trainer
- Better speaking opportunities
- Ability to command higher speaking fees
This course is highly individualised as it focuses on each participant completing the course with a talk that’s ready to deliver. It does not cover neurodiversity in depth; rather it focuses on each participant being able to develop and communicate their ideas in their own style, while being inclusive to everyone. It’s suitable for both neurodivergent and neurotypical people, and involves discussion and plenty of practice, in an inclusive workshop format. Participants will need to work on their presentation independently between sessions and will need to set aside 2 to 4 hours per week for this.
