TEDx Warrington speaker support

Rachel (Firebird’s founder) spoke at the inaugural TEDx Warrington event. You can watch her talk “Inclusion is selfish” here.

She returned for the 2023 event as Diversity and Inclusion Speaker Support, and she’s returning again this year for the event on 2nd September. Again, she is taking on a speaker support role but this time without the diversity and inclusion aspect. This time she’ll be focusing more on compliance and inclusion issues in the TEDx talks.

As before, Rachel will be present backstage on the night, as part of the team making sure the event runs smoothly. She will be working with the AV team, the rest of the backstage team, the leadership and of course the speakers.

Rachel says “I love working with the TEDx Warrington team, which is why I keep coming back! It’s a privilege to be part of a big event in someone’s life and I learn so much from the rest of the team and of course the speakers. I’m grateful to Kirsty James, the TEDx Warrington licensee for having me on the team, and for allowing me to play to my neurodivergent strengths.”
